Ways To Overcome Depression

What is a good way to overcome seasonal depression?
I’m already on anti-depressants, but i feel my symptoms of depression and anxiety returning once again with the winter months upon us. What can I do to break this terrible cycle?
You simply must buy a special light for S.A.D. It is Full Spectrum Lighting. It is small and you just need to place it properly aligned 30 minutes a day while you read a book or watch t.v. or at your desk etc. Be sure and read the directions and don’t look directly into the blue light. It works better than anything.
Yes…exercise outdoors is good as well. They say to walk 20-30 min at noon without sunglasses or sunscreen from October to approx May. (you can add sunscreen after 20 min but your skin needs to absorb the sun’s Vitamin D. Plus the light goes into your eyes (thus, don’t also wear tinted eyeglasses indoors if you buy the SAD light. You can find it at Costco or a pharmacy. Insurance often pays for it if recommended by your doctor.
Also…take 800-1200 mg of Vitamin D capsules during those months.
Please take Relora for your anxiety and depression!!! It is from your health food store and it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take 1 pill 3x a day and you will be very surprised at how it calms your anxiety down. It won’t interfer with your medication you are taking now.
But the best thing for SAD is the full spectrum light..and also you can buy full spectrum lightbulbs…and have them in your lamps..but it is not considered a therapeutic dose…it just helps more and is good for our brains.
The FSL devices are a bit costly depending on where you live….$180-$300 depending on where you live…or you can order online. It is worth it and just consider it ‘medication’ as you will notice substantial benefits and it’s better than feeling like crap for months on end!
Good luck and best wishes. I have SAD too…..and the anti-depressants didn’t cut it totally for me, but once I got the light and used it every day…I noticed a vast improvement and won’t go without it again, even though it put me out some $ at first…it was worth it and the light lasts for many years.
If you stick to outdoor walking and are not able to get the light….just try and go at noon…as that is the best time and try and just open your eyes and allow the light in on a lovely day.
Take care.
